Wow, what a spring we have been having. I know some of you have been skiing since the end of March and I’m sure the rest of you have been on the water and nursing sore muscles with this wonderful April we are having. Things are moving along with Junior Development. If you have not signed your kids up or you know someone whose kids would benefit from this program, please have them get their entries in to Dave Kaldor. Also, I’m very excited about our new program for this summer called ski nights. We have 9 confirmed sites over the summer starting in June and ending in late August. I would like to thank those people who are opening up their sites for a night of skiing and hopefully introducing our great sport to some new faces. If you’re interested in helping with driving or some coaching please contact any of the site coordinators. I’m sure any of them would love the extra help.Well now that April is here and May is just around the corner I’m sure many of you are excited about the upcoming season. Before things heat too much, keep in mind we will be having our last MWSA meeting in May. If you have been unable to attend a meeting over the winter, you have one more chance left. After that, our next meeting will be at the State tournament in July. Each year at the State Tournament, we vote on board members for the upcoming year. This is your chance to become more involved. With regards to the present board members, Dave Kaldor, Hannah Shirkey and Roy Knafla are willing to serve another term. Jeremy Knafla will be stepping done as secretary. Jeremy will be heading off to college after the ski season. Darren Janzig is also considering stepping down as Vice President. As President, I’m thinking my time has come to an end. Please keep in mind all MWSA positions are always open to anyone who is interested and are voted on by the membership in July. If you’re interested in running for any of the positions, please do so. It’s good for the organization. Personally, I would like to thank all of the board members and all the committee members that I’ve worked with over the last three years. MWSA has accomplished a lot and we should be very proud of our organization, the members that have brought there passion for this sport to our monthly meetings. Thank you! I’ve learned a lot over the years and it’s you our members and hard working board members that I have to thank. This will be the last Presidents letter for the season so if we don’t see you at the next meeting, we will catch you over the summer. Best of luck to all of you this ski season!
